Stan Vs Tuffs: The Gentle Godly Man Of Iron

The mighty Stan recently sat down with Liam Tuffs to 'ave a word. And as always, he shot from the hip and wasn't messing about. The malevolence and wastage of Welsh radicals; the factual basis of Islamic imperial ambition; the cfailure of devolution; and the importance of Christian faith.

Stan Vs Tuffs: The Gentle Godly Man Of Iron

Stan Robinson may be unfamiliar to you. But he shouldn't be. It's often easy to draw conclusions from a book's cover, but you cannot ignore or deny a man's integrity. Stan is marked by that integrity, whether you agree with him or not. He is entirely convicted of his beliefs in good faith, and they are founded on the simple moral courage of what he truly senses in his soul.

We love Stan. We love him because he unapologetically commits his loyalty to the truth as he believes it, with his heart on his sleeve as his testimony. There is no duplicity in him; no ulterior motive; nor hidden malevolence. As a former serviceman who volunteered to put his life on the line for his country, he is virulently against the immorality of Nazism; disgusted by the mindlessness of racism; deeply opposed to the corruption of Marxism; and viscerally grieved by the barbarism of foeticide. Even the socialist, of all people, understands the honesty of a political opponent of this character.

Study Stan's arguments closely and you will notice a theme of a contrite heart of which has suffered: his concern for those who also suffer, or are unfairly treated. He sells Remembrance poppies; puts his savings into Voice of Wales; drives to podcast interviews at his own cost without complaint; holds his trembling voice talking about his forefathers' sacrifices; and despite being English, he speaks up for tiny Wales when its malicious nationalists spit at him. Stan is every ordinary man on the Clapham Omnibus you would find in any ordinary English pub, and any devoted Christian would recognise pouring a cup of tea in their local church.

Stan is a traditional working class conservative of the Powell/Thatcher lineage. It's time this meek man of iron took his regular, peaceful place in the grandmother of all Parliaments, but not with the ill-suited last chance homeless saloon of UKIP. For the ordinary man in the pub who is far more radical and can't be persuaded – because when he's building molotov cocktails to throw at the people who won't listen, it is Stan who he might listen to.
