Unauthorised Downloading and Abuse Of Subscriber Data
Restorationist subscribers have been harassed with emails they did not sign up for. This is out of our immediate control. It is due to the covert theft of confidential information and breach of trust by a now-removed account with elevated permissions in the site's content management software.
On Friday Nov 7th, a mass email was broadcast (now archived) using subscriber data unlawfully obtained from the Restorationist content management system by a former editor whose account was entrusted with permissions to secure it. A second repetitive email was sent again on Sunday Nov 9. This was an abuse of position and responsibility. The Restorationist server does not appear to have been breached, although a full audit is underway to identify exactly when and where this file was downloaded.
This data was specifically stolen as part of a targeted, retaliatory campaign of criminal harassment and libel. It was coordinated and co-authored with a 6-month-old company registered to an office in Worthing, Satori Intelligence Ltd (with a domain registered around the same time from GoDaddy and Squarespace hosting, and 25% owned by a mysterious investor), founded by Cambridge alumnae Elizabeth Dubois (Wright). It is not clear at this point whether this company or person are genuine, how much of it was authored by Dubois, or whether it was ever intended it for public view (Satori was invited to explain). It appears to be heavily edited with unprofessional psychologising, and could have been originally created as a lawful background check in good faith which was later manipulated.
Technical analysis of the PDF file confirms the document was generated at 9.59am on 7 November 2025 using Acrobat PDFMaker for PowerPoint and is attributed in its metadata to “Ben Dubois”. A post-production company is registered at the same address.
The remainder of the document is extremely old and appears to come from one specific source, an ex-partner an R writer identified under a new name. It appears this individual has been stalking one of our writers, unbelievably, for possibly 16-17 years; even methodically cataloging his overseas travel and subsequent partners.
This censorship campaign extends to anonymised death threats and covert messaging on social media, abusive landline phone voicemails, facetious company registrations, and vexatious complaints made to the Nominet data registrar aiming to fraudulent obtain control of the site's domain name. This campaign is rapidly escalating into an attempt at extortion with the intent of censoring 3 articles on this site.
The data snapshot in use appears to be considerably old, indicating member data was covertly exported some time ago without notification or authorisation.
This data was subsequently imported, again unlawfully without subscriber consent, into the Brevo marketing platform (formerly Sendinblue), who may be contacted via [email protected]. No subscriber data has ever been allowed to entered into any other software or platform at any time; nor will it ever be. We were unable to prevent this incident because it was an abuse of trust, but have taken steps to ensure it can never happen again.
Formal complaints have been submitted to Brevo, ICO, and the British Association of Investigators. The email on behalf of R subscribers is published below:
Our privacy policy is strict. We send newsletter emails sporadically, from the industry-standard Mailgun platform, to feature prominent articles only or relay transactional account messages. Only ever with explicit consent.
- One request to unsubscribe was received via email. The account was immediately deleted.
- 3 inquiries with concerns were received about data being illegally entered into a different system, and immediately addressed.
- 2 automatic unsubscribe processes were completed.
- Only one single admin account with access to subscriber data now exists – this account responsible for this data theft was removed on October 22. No other account on this site, including three with editor-level permissions, has any form of access to confidential information.
If you have concerns over receiving these messages, you can contact the UK Information Commissioner's office and submit a complaint, which we will cooperate with entirely despite being an exempt US entity.
Newsletters will be disabled temporarily out of respect for R readers who don't need any more of this in their inboxes. If you have any difficulty unsubscribing and/or deleting your online account, please email [email protected] and we will assist immediately.
Restorationist writers have been inundated with threatening and menacing anonymous online accounts doxxing private information. Many mocking their physical appearance (if they are female), and basic slander (if they are male). One of the common themes is satanic imagery and bible verses, along with "vengeance," "evil" and motivated personal hatred.
Two examples of dozens are given below, which were highly malicious and maximised to cause the most egregious kind of fear, alarm, and distress.
